If you’re like us, you’re always looking for fun ways to exercise your dog. Getting your dog enough exercise can sometimes mean that you need to do more than just go for a walk! If you have a dog in training, you can use exercise alongside your walking on leash training to make sure you don’t waste any of your time with sub-par walking! Having a well-exercised dog at home also means you’ll have fewer nuisance behaviors to deal with. Tired dogs get into less trouble than dogs who are stuck at home, full of energy! What’s most important is that your dog ENJOYS their exercise, and by following the steps mentioned in this video, you can even strengthen your relationship and listening skills with your pup. The beauty of these tips for exercising your dog indoors is that you can do these exercises with any breed of dog at any age. In this video, Instructor Carol (a 5X World Champion Of Disc Dog) will teach you how to do some of the exercises that she does at home with her own world champion pups!

17.09.2023This is straight up genius, my dog is really playful and high energy but often when I want to play he is distracted and doesn't have any interest in a toy he can't destroy or squeak.

17.09.2023The nose target game is a very good one! I bet that'd also come in handy training a dog to nose someone to disrupt an anxiety attack or self-harming behaviors.

17.09.2023My first GSD Max used to LOVE Playing hide the ball…Id tell him to go hide and he'd go in the other room and sit while I hid his ball…..Id say ''OK. Come find it'' and he'd come running in,….,he'd always look in the last place first…and would remember the order in sequence. Carol is a GREAT trainer!! I love watching her train. Thanks McCann Training, for putting out these free videos…Youre really helping alot of people and dogs who cant afford a trainer!! Much appreciated!!

17.09.2023My 7 year old rescue doesn't care about toys at all, but I may be able to teach her to have fun by adding some treats and giving her something to do. Thanks for sharing your great teaching.

16.09.2023“Your will this”. Good job on the thumbnail. Moron.
Your voice is obnoxious too. We get it. You liked the movie Fargo. Does that mean you need to talk that way?

16.09.2023I love your methods. In the find it game what did you do to the ball to make it more interesting?

16.09.2023really love your videos and am currently doing your attention workshop! I would love if you could do a video or share any tips on training a dog who is fearful/reactive to outside noises (buses, sirens, etc.).

16.09.2023This was the most useful dog game video I've seen. My dog is an anxious rescue who doesn't play at all and doesn't care about toys whatsoever. For once someone gave some suggestions on ways to get difficult dogs to interact. Thank you so much! The treat thing is a challenge. My dog won't take kibble at all as a treat…and she wont eat plain kibble period. So I have to mix in wet food and bits of chicken breast for her meals…sigh…which makes it impossible to try to use her meal as play time reward. Any ideas? As I said…she's not toy motivated at all.

16.09.2023Thank you for these ideas! Newish dog owner here. My dog had puppies while in foster care, and one of her puppies will stay with us while her owner goes on vacation. My dog is normally very relaxed, but the puppy still has a lot of energy. I’ll use these games with both dogs while the puppy is here. 🐶🐶

16.09.2023I thought the video was great, but I didn't like that she was letting Trio jump up on her. It might be a problem if the dog thinks it's okay to jump up, especially when meeting new people.

14.09.2023i love the way you interact with the dogs and the audience! you’re so sweet and lively! you just seem like a wonderful lovely person and teacher for us and the dogs. i don’t like other training type videos because they don’t like interact with the dogs in a way i like and they don’t give them help. as soon as i saw you help your baby, i subbed because i believe these type of things should be fun and not so strict for the pups

14.09.2023I have a 10 week old Golden. In 2 days he’s picked up on ‘sit’ and ‘stay’. Not perfect, but it’s kind of amazing. And yet treats didn’t play a role. I use treats to get him to get used to the cage, but that’s it.
These dogs that have been trained with lots of treats remind me or a crackhead following their dealer wanting just one more hit.

13.09.2023I am a senior and find many of your training requires my getting down on the floor. I can’t do it. This video is just one more example.

13.09.2023I’d think about it twice before teaching my dog opening building doors though. Sometimes you really need your doog to stay behind a closed one. Okay, you can lock it, but I’m talking as a previous dog owner who still have claw marks on several of my doors 😮

13.09.2023Are dogs supposed to have that many treats in a night?? Just curious as I don't like to give my dog TOO many treats……

13.09.2023In my house I have a circuit (2 doors) I open both doors, throw some treats through the door which my dogs go for then close the door and call my dogs. They have to run around the circuit to get back to me. No treat dispenser required.
